Asset Building / Financial Literacy
Increase the financial assets of the working poor by increasing financial
literacy, using the EITC and AEITC as a gateway to asset
formation by adopting a financial literacy program, and
offering training on topics as checking and savings accounts,
direct deposit, pre/post homeownership, money
management, insurances, college saving plans and the
understanding the "alphabet soup" of financial programs,
e.g. IDA's, IRA's, 401k/403b's, and 457's.
